“Going to Church” is Problematic & Unbiblical

“Going to church” How can something that sounds so wholesome be so wrong? How can a religious tradition that has been intricately woven into the fabric of world history for centuries be unbiblical?

This dynamic t-shirt pushes the envelope and delivers a powerful gut punch to believers and unbelievers, exposing a major error in Christian doctrine that is still widely perpetuated today.

The whole idea of “going to church” drastically changes the biblical definition of church, from what God established the church to be, to what man has conjured up – from a chosen people to a physical place – from the body of Christ to a building made by the corrupt hands of men. Redefining the church as anything other than what God ordained it to be is idolatry, the worship of a false god.

If you simply take the time and carefully examine the New Testament scriptures, you can see for yourself that “going to church” was neither an expression or biblical practice. You will not be able to find any instances where followers of Christ went to church. They did travel from place to place, like to the Jewish temple and the various synagogues, but they went there as members of the church (the body of Christ) to defend the gospel and proclaim Jesus as King. The Jewish temple and synagogues must not be misinterpreted as a type of church.
